Money

God
She saw me the other day
Brimming with happiness
Heart overflowing with joy
Standing near the huge car
With keys shimmering in my hand
‘Money brings a smile’she thought
With dirt being her only clothes
And dirt defining her face
A narrow drop ran through her eyes
The next day she saw pain gripping me
And nothing but silence left in my eyes
She wondered
She cried
She asked you
Who am I
And you replied
‘You’

hope

The days have faded out
Leaving behind ages of darkness
But somewhere
Something shines
Something sings
The leaves shiver?
Or bird’s melody?
The shining star where a God resides
Or the brightness of the moon..
Hear! It speaks again
Suddenly it strikes
It’s the silence which comes like music into my ears
It’s the hope
Which always shines even through tears

Dreams are meant to be broken

She dreamt of a world
Where the stars smiled down at her
Where her parents loved her
Her friends stood beside her
Where nobody died hungry
Where life was eternity
Where there was no poverty
And’discrimination’didn’t exist
Where happiness was the strategy
And survival no norm
Where God was a friend
And dogs a family
But dreams are meant to be broken
Killed by their own creator
Her father had left her mother ages back
Her mother abandoned her without money
‘Fight’ defined her life
Fight for survival
With nobody around her
With nobody around her
With God her only friend
And dogs her family
